Our Irish Print Award Finalists

Anthology Autumn 2023 – Magazine, Brochure and Supplement Printer of the Year

This magazine publication is renowned for its sensory and aesthetic appeal and was entrusted to us to print.  We ensured a high-level execution, delivering meticulous care from planning through to finishing stages.

Each edition of this magazine has been marked by a stringent requirement for quality, befitting of the upscale and eclectic content it delivers to its readers. To ensure that this quality was sustained uniformly we implemented measurable steps at each stage of the production process.

Particular attention was given at the printing press stage, where the focus was on preventing any loss of sharpness or vibrancy in the featured imagery. Given the significance of colour consistency and high-quality printing synonymous with the Anthology magazine, this step was critical to the overall success of the publication.

The final printed version of the ‘Anthology Autumn 2023’ magazine stays true to the customer’s high expectations, once again proving our commitment to quality and attention to detail can produce exceptional results. This latest edition would undoubtedly appeal to its discerning readers, mirroring the vibrant and eclectic content within.

Sparks from the Flagstones Dance Book – Book Printer of the Year & Sheetfed Colour Offset Printer

A stunningly illustrated book, this project presented its own unique set of challenges, not least of which was the client’s desire for the aesthetic of uncoated paper, yet with the colour of gloss paper.

In order to achieve this fine balance, specific uncoated profiles had to be meticulously applied to the artwork. Additionally, print test sheets were utilised to ensure the desired end product was reached. The intricate process didn’t stop there. The heavy ink coverage required extra precautions to be taken in order to avoid any set off during the folding finishing processes.

Our team worked assiduously to leave no margin for deviations in consistency or colour throughout the publication. Special care was taken to confirm that the solid colours remained consistent, a crucial aspect of the overall aesthetic.

The result is a stunning book that we are extremely proud of. As the client affirmed,

“The book is beautiful, the quality is excellent and I am absolutely delighted with it.”

Trinity Bookbinding was responsible for lending their expertise to complete the finishing touches to this unique book.

Frank O’Meara Book – Book Printer of the Year

A visually stunning homage to the artist, this book was developed with great attention to the importance of colour accuracy and the feel of the final product.

Colour reproduction was a critical factor for this project, necessitating a full set of colour calibrated matchprints at the project’s outset to ensure precise colour matching on the press. This meticulous approach facilitated the creation of a book that not only presents the works of Frank O’Meara with exceptional accuracy, but also conveys the tactile pleasure that a high-quality printed book provides.

“Just a little note to say a big THANK YOU to you and your staff for the lovely job you did on my Frank O’Meara book. I am delighted with it, please also thank your binders too. Your creativity, hard work and attention to detail is appreciated.”

The success of the Frank O’Meara book is a testament to the team’s collective commitment to exceeding client expectations, underlining their dedication to quality, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. Credit must also be given to the Trinity Bookbinding, whose skills helped bring the final product to fruition.
